6.1 Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Rate Adjustments for Residential\nand Commercial Collection Services and Proposed One-Year Extension to\nFranchise Agreement with CR&R, Inc.\nRecommendation: That the City Council:\n1) Receive staff presentation and report, and receive City Clerk report on written\nproperty owner protests;\n2) Ask questions of staff;\n3) Open the public hearing;\n4) Receive public testimony;\n5) Close the public hearing;\n6) If less than 4,916 written protests were received by the City, by motion,\napprove Amendment No. 3 to the Contract for the Collection, Transportation and\nDisposal of Municipal Solid Waste and For the Collection and Transportation of\nRecyclable Materials to Processors for Diversion between the City of Laguna Hills\nand CR&R Incorporated; and\n7) Authorize the City Manager to sign Amendment No. 3 to Franchise Agreement\nwith CR&R, Inc.
