Acquisition of Ten Pumper Apparatus and Nine Paramedic Rescue\nSquad Bodies\nRecommendation: Acting as the Governing Body of the Consolidated Fire\nProtection District (District), approve the District's request and authorize the\nInterim Director of Internal Services, as the County's Purchasing Agent, to\nproceed with the solicitation and acquisition of capital asset items in excess\nof $250,000, which consists of 10 Type 1 Pumpers at an approximate\namount of $1,089,000 each, and nine Paramedic Rescue Squad Bodies at\nan approximate amount of $147,000 each, for a combined total amount of\n$12,213,000; approve an appropriation adjustment to transfer $2,325,000\nfrom the Fire Department - Developer Fee Fund to the Fire Department\nVehicle Accumulated Capital Outlay Fund (ACO) for the purchase of two\nType 1 Pumpers and one Paramedic Rescue Squad Body, funding for the\neight Type 1 Pumpers and eight Paramedic Rescue Squad Bodies will be\nfunded by the District, with sufficient funding available in the District’s Fiscal\nYear 2023-24 Vehicle ACO Fund’s Final Adopted Budget; and find that\nthese purchases are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.\n(Fire Department) APPROVE 4-VOTES (24-1368)
