Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Program Construction\nContract\nRecommendation: Find that the scope of work to be carried out by the\nproposed change orders are within the scope of the environmental impacts\nanalyzed in the previously certified Final Environmental Impact Report and\nsubsequent Addenda Nos. 1, 2 and 3 for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center\nCampus Master Plan; approve and authorize the Director of Public Works\nto finalize negotiations and execute five change orders with Hensel Phelps\nConstruction Company for the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement\nProgram (2), for not-to-exceed amounts as detailed below: (Department of\nPublic Works) APPROVE\n$1,430,000, to provide five uninterruptible power supply units and\nassociated infrastructure at the Imaging and Consolidated Procedure\nDepartments in the Inpatient Tower;\n$2,200,000, to provide the infrastructure to increase the quantity of\nElectric Vehicle charging stations from 10% to 25% of all parking\nspaces at Parking Structure A;\n$840,000, to add four spare circuit breakers to the switchgear at the\nCentral Utility Plant;\n$2,910,000, to add four feeders from the 12-kilovolt Building to\nElectrical Manholes 11 and 12 and the Central Utility Plant; and\n$4,700,000, to construct an electrical distribution building at the east\nside of campus.
