County Code, Title 8 - Consumer Protection, Business, and Wage\nRegulations Amendment\nOrdinance for adoption amending County Code, Title 8 - Consumer\nProtection, Business, and Wage Regulations, by adding Chapter 8.102 -\nFair Workweek, to provide predictable working hours and related benefits to\nemployees of certain retail businesses with more than 300 employees in the\nunincorporated areas of the County of Los Angeles, Chapter 8.102 - Fair\nWorkweek defines the retail employees and retail employers subject to the\nordinance, establishes requirements for employers to provide employees\nwith predictable working hours and advance notice and information relating\nto work schedules, prohibits retaliation against employees who exercise\nrights provided by this ordinance, establishes penalties and fines for\nviolations, authorizes the Department of Consumer and Business Affairs to\nenforce the ordinance, including authorization to issue subpoenas, and\ncreates a violation appeals process.
