14. Proclaiming May 2024 as “Asian American and Pacific Islander\nHeritage Month” in Los Angeles County\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Solis: Proclaim May 2024 as\n“Asian American and Pacific Islander Month;” direct the Chief Executive\nOfficer, through the Office of Countywide Communications, to promote\nCounty and County Department events celebrating Asian American and\nPacific Islander (AAPI) heritage, including highlighting employees who\nexemplify AAPI values and County Department programs and initiatives that\nsupport AAPI communities, and promoting the work of our AAPI-related\nCounty employee relations; and recognize the Chinese Employee\nAssociation of Los Angeles County, Korean American Employee\nAssociation of Los Angeles County, Los Angeles County Asian American\nEmployee Association, Los Angeles County Cambodian Employee\nAssociation, Los Angeles County Filipino American Employee Association,\nand the Vietnamese Employee Association of Los Angeles County, for their\ndedication and service to the 10,000,000 residents of the County.\n(24-1483)
