6.A. AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT TO PCL CONSTRUCTION\nSERVICES, INC. FOR STORIES: THE AIDS MONUMENT, CIP 41-02\nAND ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGN\nPLANS [J. ROCCO, R. ABRAMSON, M. BARKER, S. CAMPBELL, H.\nCOLLINS, L. BIERY, R. EHEMANN]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider awarding a Construction\nAgreement to PCL Construction Services, Inc., for the construction of the\nSTORIES: The AIDS Monument project, CIP 41-02 and adopting a\nResolution approving the design plans.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Construction Agreement to PCL\nConstruction Services, Inc., in the amount of $6,675,000 for the\nconstruction of the STORIES: The AIDS Monument project, CIP No. 41-\n02, and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute documents\nincident to the Agreement; 2) Authorize the Urban Design and Architecture\nStudio Manager and the Facilities and Field Services Manager to approve\nchange orders to the construction Agreement in an amount not to exceed\n20% ($1,335,000) of the total Agreement amount; 3) Authorize the\nDirector of Finance and Technology Services to allocate $3,700,000 from\nthe unallocated reserves in the 301 Capital Projects fund reserves for\nconstruction of the STORIES: The AIDS Monument project; and 4) Adopt\nResolution No. 24-______: “A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF\nTHE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD APPROVING THE DESIGN AND\nPLANS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CIP 41-02, STORIES: THE AIDS\nMONUMENT, UNDER GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 830.6.”
