Support for Assembly Bill 3233: Local Environmental Choice and Safety\nAct\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisor Mitchell: Direct the Chief\nExecutive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and Intergovernmental\nRelations Branch, in consultation with County Counsel and relevant County\nDepartments, to send a five-signature letter to Assemblymember Dawn Addis,\nwith a copy to the County’s State Legislative Delegation, in support of Assembly\nBill (AB) 3233 (Addis): Local Environmental Choice and Safety Act, legislation\nwhich would uphold the authority of local governments in passing ordinances\nthat protect residents from the detrimental effects of oil and gas pollution; and\ninstruct the County’s Legislative Advocates in Sacramento to take the\nappropriate legislative advocacy actions to support AB 3233.
