43. Tutoring and Education Support Services Sole Source Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services and\nthe Chief Probation Officer, to extend a sole source contract with the Los\nAngeles County Office of Education for the provision of tutoring and education\nsupport services to children and youth, for up to two years and six months;\nexercise the two one-year and six month extension options beyond November\n30, 2026, if such time is necessary to complete the negotiation of a new\ncontract, provided that, sufficient funding is available for the extension; and take\nthe following actions: (Department of Children and Family Services)\nAPPROVE\nExecute amendments to increase or decrease the maximum annual\ncontract amount by up to 10%, if such an amendment is necessary to\nmeet change in service demands and the necessary funds are available\nin the budget, and execute amendments to the contract for non-material\nchanges; and\nPrepare and execute amendments to the contract for changes affecting\nthe statement of work or to any of the terms and conditions included\nunder this contract provided that, amendments do not include cost of\nliving adjustments; sufficient funding is available for increases, and\nterminate the contract in accordance with the termination provisions,\nincluding termination for convenience.
