57. On-Call Traffic Signal and Safety Construction Contracts\nRecommendation: Adopt a resolution finding that the modification and\nsynchronization of traffic signals in the Cities of Hawthorne and Lawndale is of\ngeneral County interest and that the County aid in the form of\nHighways-Through-Cities Funds in the amount of $936,400 shall be provided to\nthe cities to be expended in accordance with all applicable provision of law\nrelated to funds derived from Proposition C Discretionary Grant Funds and\nProposition C Local Return Funds; approve the Hawthorne Boulevard Traffic\nSignal Synchronization Program - Imperial Highway to Manhattan Beach\nBoulevard and View Park/Windsor Hills - Overhill Drive at 58th Place-Orchid\nDrive projects (2), with total project amount estimates of $1,134,800 and\n$2,400,000, respectively; and authorize the Director of Public Works, acting as\nthe Road Commissioner, to use Board-approved On-Call Traffic Signal and\nSafety Construction contracts to deliver the two proposed projects by issuing\nwork orders where the total project amount estimates shall not exceed\n$1,134,800 and $2,400,000, unless additional funds have been identified.\n(Department of Public Works) ADOPT 4-VOTES (24-1634)
