Job Readiness, Career Planning, and Vocational Assessment Services\nSole Source Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Public Social Services to prepare\nand execute a sole source contract with the Los Angeles County Office of\nEducation for Job Readiness, Career Planning, and Vocational Assessment\nservices, for a two-year period effective from July 1, 2024 or upon execution by\nthe Director, whichever is later, through June 30, 2026 with a one-year\nextension option, for a maximum two-year contract amount of $63,555,000, with\nfunding included in the Department of Social Services’ Fiscal Year 2024-25\nproposed budget and funding for future years to be included in the\nDepartment's annual budget requests; and authorize the Director to take the\nfollowing actions: (Department of Public Social Services) APPROVE\nExtend the contract for up to one additional one-year period; prepare\nand execute amendments to the contract for instances which affect the\nscope of work, term, contract amount, payment terms, or any other term\nof condition in this contract, additions and/or changes required by the\nBoard changes to be in compliance with applicable County, State and\nFederal regulations, increases or decreases of no more than 10% of the\noriginal contract amount based on the contractor's performance,\ncommunity needs, and funding availability.
