8. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH\nGOVCONNECTION, INC. DBA CONNECTION PUBLIC SECTOR SOLUTIONS FOR\nPURCHASE OF A SERVER, LICENSING AND TECH SUPPORT\nThe Bell Gardens Police Department utilizes several servers for data storage as well as data\nsecurity. Servers have a lifespan of approximately five years before they begin to malfunction. The\nBell Gardens Police Department is seeking approval for the procurement of one server that will\nenhance our IT infrastructure by using Cooperative Purchasing Sourcewell Contract #081419-\nGVC.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff’s recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Adopt the attached Resolution; and\n2. Approve the attached procurement agreement approving the purchase of one server,\nlicensing, and five years of tech support with GovConnection, Inc. dba Connection Public\nSector Solutions, through Cooperative Purchasing Sourcewell Contract #081419-GVC.
