55. Marina Del Rey Waterbus Service Contract\nRecommendation: Approve and authorize the Director of Beaches and Harbors\nto execute a contract with Hornblower Yachts, LLC, for the provision of\nWaterBus service during the summer months for community events for\nresidents of, and visitors to Marina del Rey (2), for a three-year term, with three\none-year extension options, commencing on June 21, 2024 through June 20,\n2027, at an annual contract amount of $1,392,200, for a total maximum amount\nof $9,188,520 over the potential total term of six years, which is inclusive of an\nadditional 10% annually for unforeseen services, with sufficient funding\nincluded in the Department of Beaches and Harbors’ Operating Budget to cover\nthe cost; find that the proposed action is not subject to the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director to take the following\nactions: (Department of Beaches and Harbors) APPROVE\nPrepare and execute contract amendments to extend the contract for\nthree additional one-year optional renewals, if, in the opinion of the\nDirector, Hornblower Yachts, LLC has effectively performed the services\nduring the previous contract period and the services are still needed and\nrequired;\nIncrease the contract amount by up to an additional 10% in any year of\nthe contract, including any extension option period, for any additional or\nunforeseen services within the scope of this contract, subject to the\navailability of funds in the Department’s operating budget; and\nApprove and execute change orders and amendments to incorporate\nnecessary changes within the scope of work, execute amendments\nshould the contracting entity merge, be acquired or otherwise change\nentities, and suspend or terminate the contract if, in the opinion of the\nDirector, it is in the best interest of the County.
