71. Enforcement Group 3 Los Angeles-Airport Narcotics Task Force\nAgreement\nRecommendation: Authorize the Sheriff, as an agent for the County, to execute\nan agreement with the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement\nAdministration (DEA), with a term of December 1, 2023 through September 30,\n2026, for continued participation in Enforcement Group 3 Los Angeles-Airport\n2026, for continued participation in Enforcement Group 3 Los Angeles Airport\nNarcotics Task Force (LAX NTF), with the Department overtime salary costs\nassociated with LAX NTF to be reimbursed by the DEA for all Department\npersonnel assigned full-time to LAX NTF; execute all amendments to the\nagreement that are necessary for the effective participation in LAX NTF; and as\nan agent for the County execute all required contract documents with DEA\nincluding, but not limited to, agreements, assurances and certifications,\namendments, modifications, extensions, and payment requests, in future fiscal\nyears, as necessary for the continued participation in the LAX NTF Program.\n(Sheriff’s Department) APPROVE (24-1768)
