REVIEW OF 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS STAND PERMIT\nAPPLICATIONS\nPursuant to Section 8.08.050 of the South El Monte Municipal Code, the\nCity Council has the authority to grant up to eight fireworks stand permits\nper year to qualified organizations. Pursuant to 8.08.040, the City\nAdministrator is required to investigate and report to the Council\nrecommending for or against issuance of the requested permits.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council receive and\nfile the report and grant permits to allow for four (4) firework stands and for\nwhich applications have been received in conjunction with the Fourth of\nJuly 2024. The Planning Division has reviewed the applications and find\nthat they comply with Chapter 8.08 of the South El Monte Municipal Code.
