5.A. METRO UPDATE AND AMENDMENT NO. 8 TO THE AGREEMENT\nFOR SERVICES WITH THE ROBERT GROUP FOR THE NEXT PHASE\nOF OUTREACH FOR THE NORTHERN EXTENSION OF THE METRO K\nLINE [N. MARICICH, F. CONTRERAS, D. FENN, P. PORTWOOD]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an update on the Northern\nExtension of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation\nAuthority (Metro) K Line (formerly known as the Crenshaw/LAX Line) and\nconsider approving Amendment No. 8 to the Agreement for Services with\nThe Robert Group. The update includes Metro’s Outreach Summary\nReport, City-led community outreach, Rail Integration and Funding\nstudies, related state legislative pursuits, and critical upcoming project\nmilestones.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive an update on the Northern Extension\nof the Metro K Line; and 2) Approve Amendment No. 8 to the Agreement\nfor Services with the Robert Group increasing the Agreement amount by\n$99,988.00 for a not-to-exceed amount of $482,778.00 to conduct\noutreach for the Metro K Line project and related project milestones,\nincluding the upcoming Environmental Impact Report (EIR).\n6.
