RESOLUTION DENOUNCING DIGITAL DISCRIMINATION\nThe City of Bell Gardens acknowledges the crucial role of broadband internet access for full\nparticipation in modern society and the digital discrimination that occurs when internet service\nproviders (ISPs) inequitably deploy high-speed internet and disproportionately limit services to\nracially or socio-economically marginalized neighborhoods. The City denounces digital\ndiscrimination and commits to addressing the digital divide to ensure digital equity for all residents.\nRecommendation:\nIt is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution Denouncing Digital\nDiscrimination.
