RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND APPROVAL OF\nCONTRACT WITH AGUILAR & CALDERON CORPORATION FOR THE\nFRIENDSHIP PARK (FORMERLY SMITH-MURPHY PARK) AND CARL BRENNER\nPARK ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT\n— Recommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving plans and\nspecifications for the Friendship Park (formerly Smith Murphy) and Carl\nBrenner Park Accessibility Improvements Project; 2) Award a contract to\nAguilar & Calderon Corporation in the amount of $778,611.66 for the Project;\n3) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $119,039.05 in the same\npurchase order; 4) Authorize construction engineering in the amount of\n$20,000; 5) Authorize a purchase order for The Solis Group in the amount of\n$4,035 for the Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) administration; 6)\nApprove a budget transfer in the amount of $165,000 from the\nundesignated General Fund balance; 7) Authorize the City Manager and the\nCity Clerk to execute the contract; and 8) Reject the bid protest submitted\nby RMS Construction.
