5A. RESOLUTIONS PERTAINING TO THE BUENA PARK GENERAL MUNICIPAL\nELECTION OF TWO COUNCIL MEMBER SEATS FOR DISTRICTS 3 AND 4, AND A\nSPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF ONE COUNCIL MEMBER SEAT FOR\nDISTRICT 2 FOR TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2024\n— Recommended Action: That the City Council adopt the following titled\nresolutions: 1) A Resolution calling for the holding of a General Municipal\nElection to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the election of one\nCouncil Member in District 3, and one Council Member in District 4, for a full\nterm of four years each; 2) A Resolution calling for the holding of a Special\nMunicipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the election\nof once Council Member in District 2, for a term of office in which the\nvacancy occurs ends December 2026; 3) A Resolution requesting the\nOrange County Registrar of Voters to consolidate a General Municipal\nElection to be held on November 5, 2024, with the Statewide General\nElection to be held on the date pursuant to Section 10403 of the California\nElections Code; 4) A Resolution adopting regulations pertaining to\ncandidates statements; 5) A Resolution determining a tie-vote shall be\nresolved by a runoff election; and, 6) Approve a budget amendment in the\namount of $13,613-$16,063 from the undesignated General Fund reserve\nbalance to allocate funding for the Special Municipal Election.
