6. 23-0153 Recommendation to adopt Specifications No. ITB FS22-163 and award\ncontracts to HERC Rentals, Inc., of Bonita Springs, FL, and United\nRentals (North America), Inc., of Stamford, CT, for the rental of\nheavy-duty equipment, in an annual aggregate amount of $850,000,\nwith a 15 percent annual contingency amount of $127,500, for a total\nannual aggregate amount not to exceed $977,500, for a period of two\nyears, with the option to renew for three additional one-year periods, at\nthe discretion of the City Manager; and, authorize City Manager, or\ndesignee, to execute all documents necessary to enter into the\ncontracts, including any necessary subsequent amendments; and\nIncrease appropriation in the Fleet Services Fund Group in the\nFinancial Management Department by $250,000, offset by funds\navailable generated by revenue collected from user departments\nthrough the Fleet Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
