Request to Approve Amendment to Fire Department Contract with UCLA Center for\nPrehospital Care In June 2022, the City Council approved the existing contract with the UCLA\nCenter for Prehospital Care to provide continuing education in prehospital and emergency\nmedicine and provide quality improvement services for Fire personnel to maintain licensure as\nan EMT-Basic and Paramedic. This amended agreement increases the fee payable to the City\nby $5,800 annually, for a total amount of $110,000 for the two-year term.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve an amended agreement with the UCLA\nCenter for Prehospital Care to provide continuing education and quality improvement services\nfor Fire personnel and authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
