16. Direction Regarding Renewal of the Outdoor Patio Permit for Cafe Wang The City Council\nis being asked for direction in regard to the previously temporary approved sidewalk expansion\nfor Cafe Wang. The Old Town La Verne Business Improvement District Advisory Board is\nrecommending that the outdoor patio no longer be allowed to be used and ultimately removed\nafter December 31 2024.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take one of the following actions regarding the outdoor\npatio for Cafe Wang:\n1. Require the patio to be immediately closed off and physically removed from the street in\nthe next 30 days; or\n2. As recommended by the Old Town La Verne Business Improvement District's Advisory\nBoard, allow the outdoor patio to be used for the remainder of the calendar year, with\nphysical removal by January 31, 2025; or\n3. Allow for the patio to remain in place for some other specific time period with another\nreview by the City Council before requiring its ultimate removal.
