4.A. STORIES: THE AIDS MONUMENT PROJECT UPDATE, AN\nAMENDMENT TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING\nWITH THE FOUNDATION FOR THE AIDS MONUMENT, AND AN\nAMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH\nLPA, INC. [O. DELGADO, R. ABRAMSON, M. BARKER, S.\nCAMPBELL, H. COLLINS]:\nThe City Council will receive an update on the results of the design-\nbuild RFP process, and will consider next steps for moving forward\nwith the project, an amendment to the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (MOU) with the Foundation for the AIDS Monument\n(FAM), and amending an existing agreement with LPA Inc. to now\ninclude construction documents and construction administration\nservices, increase their not-to-exceed amount, and extend the\ntimeline of their agreement.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive an update on the RFP process\nand next steps to complete the design and construction of\nSTORIES: The AIDS Monument; 2) Direct staff to reject the bid and\ncancel the current Design-Build RFP process for STORIES: The\nAIDS Monument and evaluate other forms of project delivery; 3)\nApprove Amendment No. 1 to the Second Revised and Restated\nMemorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Foundation for the\nAIDS Monument (FAM); 4) Approve Amendment No. 5 to the\nAgreement for Services with LPA Inc. to increase the amount of the\nagreement by $600,000 for a total not-to-exceed amount of\n$1,900,000, and extend the agreement by 24 months from June 30,\n2023 to June 30, 2025; and 5) Authorize the City Manager or\ndesignee to execute documents incident to the agreement.\nSTAFF REPORT\nITEM 4.A. - ATTACHMENT A\nITEM 4.A. - ATTACHMENT B\nITEM 4.A. - ATTACHMENT C\nITEM 4.A. - ATTACHMENT D
