2.L. INCREASE IN PROJECT CONTINGENCY FOR THE CITY’S\nCONTRACT WITH KORDICH CONSTRUCTION AND APPROVE\nTHE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE WESTBOURNE DR\nWATER SEEPAGE MITIGATION CIP 2105 [S. CAMPBELL, J.\nGILMOUR]:\nThe City Council will consider increasing the project contingency for\nthe Westbourne Drive Water Seepage Mitigation CIP 2105 by\n$20,361.75 to account for changes in the construction agreement\nwith Kordich Construction due to unforeseen conditions, for a total\nnot to exceed amount of $114,087.15, and approving the Notice of\nCompletion for the project.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Authorize a $20,361.75 increase in the\ncontingency amount for Construction Services with Kordich\nConstruction, for a new not to exceed contingency amount of\n$114,087.15 and authorize the City Engineer to approve change\norders to the agreement for services; 2) Authorize the City Manager\nor designee to execute all documents incident to the Agreements;\n3) Accept the work and authorize the following: a. File the Notice of\nCompletion by the City Clerk with the Los Angeles Recorder's\nOffice, b. Issue the final payment to the contractor at the end of the\n35 day lien period, c. Release of the Performance Bond on the date\nof recordation of the Notice of Completion, d. Release of the\nPayment Bond 35 days after the date of recordation of the Notice of\nCompletion, pending no receipt of Stop Notices from material\nsuppliers or subcontractors.\nSTAFF REPORT
