8. 24-457 Adopt Resolution Nos. 2024-34 and 2024-35 that call for and\nconsolidate with the County of Orange to conduct the General\nMunicipal Election for City Officers (three members of the City\nCouncil, a City Clerk, and a City Treasurer) to be held on Tuesday,\nNovember 5, 2024\nRecommended Action:\nA) Adopt Resolution No. 2024 -34, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of\nHuntington Beach, California, calling for the holding of a General Municipal Election to\nbe held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the election of certain officers as required\nby the provisions of the Laws of the State of California Relating to Charter Cities;”\nand,\nB) Adopt Resolution No. 2024 -35, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of\nHuntington Beach, California, requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of\nOrange, California, to consolidate a General Municipal Election to be held on\nTuesday, November 5, 2024, with the Statewide General Election to be held on the\ndate pursuant to § 10403 of the Elections Code.”\nCity Manager
