Authorization to Initiate Annexation Proceedings for Eastside Annexation with the Local\nAgency Formation Commission of Los Angeles County\nRecommendation(s):\nAdopt Resolution No. , authorizing staff to initiate annexation proceedings with the\nLocal Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) for the County of Los Angeles for the\nEastside Annexation\nThe proposed annexation would create logical city boundary lines, provide additional large\nparcels of land which could be developed with uses that would support the economic health\nof the City, and would include zoning for rural residential development consistent with the\ncity’s character and history.
