6.C. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF FAIRFAX HIGH SCHOOL CENTENNIAL\nCELEBRATION [J. HEILMAN, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, J. DEL\nTORO, J. DUCKWORTH]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider co-sponsoring Fairfax High\nSchool’s Centennial Celebration which will begin on Friday, September 6,\n2024, and conclude on Sunday, September 8, 2024. The celebration will\ntake place at Fairfax High School and will be organized by the Fairfax\nHigh School Alumni Association.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the co-sponsorship of Fairfax High\nSchool’s Centennial Celebration at Fairfax High School, beginning on\nFriday, September 6, 2024, and concluding on Sunday, September 8,\n2024; 2) Authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute\ndocuments incident to the Co-Sponsorship Agreement between the City\nand the Fairfax High School Alumni Association; 3) Authorize the Director\nof Finance & Technology Services to approve the use of $5,000 from\nbudgeted funds in the Special Council Programs account number 100-1-\n01-00-531001 for costs associated with these events; 4) Authorize the use\nof the City name and logo on invitations, programs, and other collateral\nmaterials for these events; and 5) Direct the Communications Department\nto utilize all appropriate communication tools to promote the Fairfax High\nSchool’s Centennial Celebration including, but not limited to, the City’s\nwebsite, a press release, and social media tools.
