6.D. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF CALIFORNIA LGBTQ CHAMBER OF\nCOMMERCE’S LGBTQ CERTIFICATION AND MATCHMAKING\nSUMMIT [J. ERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, A. LOVANO, J. DEL TORO]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider co-sponsoring California\nLGBTQ Chamber of Commerce’s LGBTQ Certification and Matchmaking\nSummit on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Plummer Park’s Fiesta Hall.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the co-sponsorship of California\nLGBTQ Chamber of Commerce’s LGBTQ Certification and Matchmaking\nSummit at Fiesta Hall on Wednesday, August 28, 2024; 2) Authorize the\nCity Manager or his designee to execute documents incident to the co-\nsponsorship agreement between the City and the California LGBTQ\nChamber of Commerce; 3) Authorize the Director of Finance &\nTechnology Services to approve the use of $5,000 from budgeted funds in\nthe Special Council Programs account number 100-1-01-00-531001 for\ncosts associated with this event; 4) Approve the use of Fiesta Hall at\nPlummer Park, waive any Facility Use Fees, Encroachment Permit Fees,\nand the 3-hour parking limit at the Plummer Park parking lot for event\nparticipants, and any other ancillary City permits that may be required for\nthe event (estimated $1,074); 5) Authorize the use of the City name and\nlogo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials for this event;\nand 6) Direct the Communications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunication tools to promote the California LGBTQ Chamber of\nCommerce’s LGBTQ Certification and Matchmaking Summit including, but\nnot limited to, the City’s website, a press release, and social media tools.
