6.G. SPONSORSHIP OF THE EQUAL MEANS EQUAL FINAL IMPACT FOR\nTHE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT CAMPAIGN [Y. QUARKER, A.\nLOVANO, L. FOOKS]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider sponsoring the EQUAL MEANS\nEQUAL Final Impact for the Equal Rights Amendment Campaign, a\nnationwide campaign urging the President to publish the ERA.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve an Agreement with the Heroica\nFoundation (fiscal sponsor FOR EQUAL MEANS EQUAL) for the EQUAL\nMEANS EQUAL Final Impact for the Equal Rights Amendment Campaign.\n(Attachment A) and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute\ndocuments incident to the agreement; 2) Authorize the use of the City\nname and logo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials as\na sponsor; 3) Approve the use of a City facility/location for the display of\nthe EQUAL MEANS EQUAL Final Impact for the ERA Campaign display\nand waive encroachment permit fee and film permit fee ($1,550) as\nneeded; 4) Direct the Communications Department to utilize all\nappropriate communications tools to promote the multi-media campaign;\nand 5) Authorize the Director of Finance and Technology Services to\napprove the use of $20,000 from budgeted funds in the Special Council\nPrograms account number 100-1-01-00-531001 for costs associated with\nsponsorship of the campaign.
