O. Placement of a One-Half Cent (1/2¢ ) Transactions (Sales) and Use Tax\nMeasure on the November 5, 2024, General Municipal Election Ballot for\nVoter Consideration - That the City Council adopt 1. Resolution 7552\nApproving an Ordinance and Ordering that a Measure be Submitted to the\nVoters of the City at the General Municipal Election to be Held on November\n5, 2024, to Increase by .5% the Local Transactions and Use Tax from 1% to\n1.5%, with the Tax Continuing to be Administered by the California\nDepartment of Tax and Fee Administration; and, 2. For submission to voters,\nOrdinance 1714, an Ordinance Adopted by the Voters of the City of Seal\nBeach Amending Sections 4.55.025 and 4.55.035 of the Seal Beach\nMunicipal Code to Increase the Rate of the Existing Transactions and Use Tax\nby .5%, from 1% to 1.5%, to be Administered by the California Department of\nTax and Fee Administration.
