6.D. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF LADIES OF COURAGE ARTS FESTIVAL [Y.\nQUARKER, A. LOVANO, L. FOOKS]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a request to co-sponsor the\n“Ladies of Courage Arts Festival”, a free outdoor event to be held on\nSaturday, September 28, 2024 at West Hollywood Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the co-sponsorship of the “Ladies of\nCourage Arts Festival” to be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from\n10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at West Hollywood Park; 2) Authorize the City Manager\nor his designee to execute documents incident to the Co-Sponsorship\nAgreement between the Eye Poet, LLC; 3) Authorize the Director of\nFinance and Technology Services to approve the use of $5,000 from\nFiscal Year 2024-25 budgeted funds in the Special Council Programs\naccount number 100-1-01-00-531001 for costs associated with the event;\n4) Approve the use of the Great Lawn Area, Great Lawn Picnic Area,\nPromenade Area, Robertson Lawn Area, Robertson Picnic Area and\nSouth Lawn Area at West Hollywood Park; 5) Waive fees for Special\nEvent Permit, Film Permit, Encroachment Permit, Major Event Park Space\nUse Fee, and Building and Safety Permits (estimated $8,987); 6) Waive\nparking at the 5-story parking structure for the event performers, vendors\nand staff (estimated $1,200); 7) Authorize the use of the City name and\nlogo on invitations, programs, and other collateral materials; and 8) Direct\nthe Communications Department to utilize all appropriate communications\ntools to promote the event such as the City’s website and social media\ntools.
