2.M. REQUEST TO NAME THE FUTURE THEATER AT THE CITY\nPLAYHOUSE IN HONOR OF THE CITY'S FORMER ARTS MANAGER\nANDREW CAMPBELL [V. GUARINO, H. COLLINS, E. HAMANT]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider a request to name the future\ntheater at the City Playhouse the “Andrew Campbell Theater” to honor the\nlife, work, and contributions of the City’s former Arts Manager Andrew\nCampbell and refer the item to the City’s Public Facilities, Recreation, and\nInfrastructure Commission for further consideration.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Refer the naming request to the Public\nFacilities, Recreation, and Infrastructure Commission for study and\nsubsequent recommendation to the City Council; 2) Direct staff to follow\nthe procedures outlined in the Naming Policy; and 3) Waive the Naming\nPolicy’s requirement that the naming of land, buildings, or facilities in\nhonor of a deceased person shall not be initiated until two years after their\ndeath.
