J Consideration and possible action to award a contract to R.E. Schultz\nConstruction, Inc. for the Thompson Park Improvements – Installation of\nOutdoor Fitness Center (Specifications No. 23/24-04); and authorize the\nCity Manager to execute a contract with R.E. Schultz Construction, Inc. in a\nform approved by the City Attorney.\nCEQA: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Public\nResources Code §§ 21000, et seq.) and CEQA Guidelines (California Code of\nRegulations, Title 14, §§ 15000, et seq.), the City conducted an environmental\nassessment for the project consisting of an Initial Study and Mitigated Negative\nDeclaration. The Initial Study determined that the project would not result in any\nsignificant effect on the environment with incorporation of mitigation measures\ncontained in the Mitigated Negative Declaration.\nRecommendation to City Council: 1) Award a contract to R.E. Schultz\nConstruction, Inc. for the Project and authorize the City Manager to execute said\ncontract in a form approved by the City Attorney; and 2) Authorize a budget\namendment to carryover the budget of $300,000 in Account No. 070-47230-9000\nfrom fiscal year 2023-24 to 2024-25 and establish a budget of $150,000 in Account\nNo. 024-47230-9000 in fiscal year 2024-25; or 3) Alternatively, discuss and take\nother action related to this item.\n14 CONSENT CALENDAR – Continued
