11. BID & PURCHASE - CONTRACT WITH SCHULER CONSTRUCTORS FOR THE\nDESALTER SURGE ANTICIPATOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO .\nUT-2023-06\nThat the City Council:\na. Award Notice of Inviting Bids 24-080CA to Schuler Constructors, the lowest\nresponsive, responsible bidder, for the total bid amount of $544,765 and waive\nall minor irregularities in the bidding documents as submitted by said bidder for\nthe Desalter Surge Anticipator Capital Improvement Project No. UT2023-06.\nb. Adopt the Plans and Specifications for the Desalter Surge Anticipator Project.\nc. Authorize an appropriation in the amount of $494,832 from the Water Utility\nFund 570 to the Desalter Surge Anticipator Capital Improvement Project No. UT-\n2023-06.\nd. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Contract with Schuler\nConstructors, in the amount of $544,765 including any purchase orders,\nnon-substantive extensions, change orders, and amendments up to 10% of the\ncontract amount or $54,476.50 as authorized in Corona Municipal Code Section\n3.08.060(J).\nThat the Corona Utility Authority review, ratify, and to the extent necessary, direct\nthe City Council to take the above actions.
