11. ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN $8.2 MILLION GRANT\nAWARD FROM THE CALIFORNIA AIR RESOURCES CONTROL\nBOARD FOR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS [N. MARICICH, F.\nCONTRERAS, AICP, C. SHEN, P. PORTWOOD]\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider adopting a resolution accepting a\n$8,214,840 Sustainable Transportation and Equity Program (STEP) grant\nfrom the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for pedestrian, bicycle,\nand transit electric fleet improvements and authorize the City Manager or\nhis designee to execute a grant agreement with CARB.\nRECOMMENDATION: 1) Adopt Resolution No. 24-______: “A\nAugust, 26, 2024\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST\nHOLLYWOOD AUTHORIZING RECEIPT OF, CALIFORNIA AIR\nRESOURCE BOARD’S SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION AND\nEQUITY PROJECT GRANT IN AN AMOUNT OF UP TO $8,214,840”; and\n2) Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute a Grant Agreement\nand all necessary contracts, payment requests, and amendments with the\nCalifornia Air Resources Board to secure and facilitate the use and\nexpenditure of grant funds in the amount of $8,214,840.
