Item No. 29. 2024-0707 CONSIDER AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION\nCONTRACT TO ONYX PAVING COMPANY FOR\nPROJECT NO. 1722: 213TH STREET PAVEMENT\nREHABILITATION AND CONCRETE REPLACEMENT\nFROM MAIN STREET TO SELWYN AVENUE (CITY\nCOUNCIL)\nRecommendation: TAKE the following actions:\n1. AWARD a construction contract for Project No. 1722: 213th\nStreet Pavement Rehabilitation and Concrete Replacement\nProject from Main Street to Selwyn Avenue, for a not to exceed\namount of $2,693,000.00, to the lowest responsive and\nresponsible bidder, Onyx Paving Company.\n2. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of construction contingencies in\nthe amount of $269,300 (10%) for any unforeseen construction\nwork such as substructure conflicts, contaminated soil removal and\ndisposal, material testing, and other additional work the city may\nrequest as appropriate that may be necessary to complete this\nproject.\n3.
