Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the City of Pomona Housing Authority (PHA) to accept a\ngrant award and receive funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban\nDevelopment (HUD), totaling $188,177\nIt is recommended that the City Council, sitting as the Governing Board of the City of\nPomona Housing Authority take the following actions:\n1) Adopt the following resolution:\nRESOLUTION NO. 2024-136 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE\nCITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, SITTING AS THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE\nPOMONA HOUSING AUTHORITY, APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A U.S.\nDEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) PROGRAM\nGRANT AWARD, TO RECEIVE FUNDING TOTALING $188,177 AMENDING THE FY\n2024-25 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES, AND\nAPPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE SAME AMOUNT\n2) Approve an extension to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Los Angeles\nCounty Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as required for the\nadministration of the Foster to Independence (FYI) Program, subject to City Attorney\nreview and approval;\n3) Authorize the Executive Director of the Housing Authority or his designee to execute\nthe contracts and other documentation requested for acceptance and implementation\nof the grant award, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
