78. On-Call Water Meter Maintenance Services Contract\nRecommendation: Acting as the Governing Body of the County Waterworks\nDistricts and Marina del Rey Water System, award a contract to Westerly\nMeter Service Company, a Community Business Enterprise, for on-call\nwater meter maintenance services in the five County Waterworks Districts\nand the Marina del Rey Water System (2, 3, 4 and 5), for a term of one year\nwith four one-year and six month-to-month extension options for a\nmaximum potential contract term of 66 months and a maximum potential\ncontract amount of $3,847,800, with funding included in the County\nWaterworks Districts and the Marina del Rey Water System General Funds\nFiscal Year 2024-25 Budgets; find that the contract work is exempt from the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director of Public\nWorks to take the following actions: (Department of Public Works)\nAPPROVE\nExecute the contract and exercise the extension options if, in the\nopinion of the Director, Westerly Meter Service Company has\nsuccessfully performed during the previous contract period and the\nservices are still required, approve and execute amendments to\nincorporate necessary changes within the scope of work, and\nsuspend and/or terminate the contract for convenience if it is in the\nbest interest of the County; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of\nthe annual contract amount, which is included in the maximum\npotential contract amount for unforeseen additional work within the\nscope of the contract if required, and adjust the annual contract\namount for each option year over the term of the contract to allow\nfor an annual Cost of Living Adjustment in accordance with County\npolicy and the terms of the contract.
