46. Landscape Services Contracts\nRecommendation: Find that landscape services can be performed more\neconomically by independent contractors; approve and instruct the Chair to\nsign contracts for five Regions with Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., Landsco,\nInc., Stay Green, and Sepco Earthscape, Inc., for the provision of\nlandscape services at various County facilities effective October 1, 2024, for\na period of three years, with three one-year and six month-to-month\nextension options, for a maximum total contract term of six years and six\nmonths, for a total first year cost of $776,784 (Region 1), $905,208 (Region\n3), $1,235,040 (Region 4), $451,889 (Region 5), and $726,072 (Region 6),\nand an aggregate of approximately $12,600,000, for the initial three year\nterm, with sufficient funding included in the Department's Fiscal Year\n2024-25 Recommended Budget, and sufficient funding will be requested in\nfuture years; and authorize the Director of Internal Services to take the\nfollowing actions: (Internal Services Department) APPROVE\nExercise the extension options in accordance with the contracts, add\nand delete facilities, approve necessary changes to scope of\nservices, and execute applicable contract amendments should the\noriginal contracting entities merge, be acquired, or otherwise have a\nchange of entity; and\nIncrease the contract amount up to an additional 10% to allow for any\npossible Cost of Living Adjustments during the option years in\naccordance with County policy and terms of the contract.
