Supporting the Senate Bill S. 4189 (Butler) Youth Climate Leadership\nAct\nRecommendation as submitted by Supervisors Solis and Horvath: Direct\nthe Chief Executive Officer, through the Legislative Affairs and\nIntergovernmental Relations Branch , to support Senate Bill S. 4189 (Butler) ,\nYouth Climate Leadership Act of 2024, legislation which creates structured\navenues for youth engagement at the Federal level and will help harness\nthe energy, innovation, and commitment of youth people to drive forward\ncomprehensive and inclusive solutions across the nation, and similar\nproposals that uplift youth voices; and encourage State and Federal elected\nrepresentatives to create bodies like the Los Angeles County Youth Climate\nCommission that elevates youth voices in environmental justice and climate\nchange policy development and implementation.
