84. Traffic Records Improvement Project Program Grant Award\nRecommendation: Authorize the Sheriff, as an agent for the County, to\naccept and execute a Traffic Records Improvement Project Grant Program\n(Program) agreement for the purchase of a license for a Crossroads\nsoftware application, desktop computer equipment for patrol stations, and\nhandheld wireless digital devices for field use, in the amount of $1,500,000\nto fund the Sheriff's Department’s North Patrol Division for the grant period\nof October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, with funding to be\nincluded in the Sheriff's Department's Fiscal Year 2024-25 Supplemental\nChanges budget request; execute and submit all required grant documents\nincluding, but not limited to, agreements, modifications, extensions, and\npayment requests that may be necessary for the completion of the\nProgram; apply and submit a grant application to the State Office of Traffic\nSafety (OTS) for this Program in future fiscal years, and execute all\nrequired grant application documents, including assurances and\ncertifications, when and if such future funding becomes available; and\naccept all grant awards for the Program in future fiscal years, if awarded by\nthe OTS, and execute all required grant award documents including, but not\nlimited to, agreements, modifications, extensions, and payment requests,\nwhich may be necessary for completion of the Program in future fiscal\nyears.
