Item 53: Pure Water – Fifth Amendment to the As-Needed Engineering Technical Services\nConsultant Agreement with Stantec, Inc for the Pure Water Program (H156303).\nTotal Estimated Cost of Proposed Action and Funding Source:\nAuthorization of this fifth amendment to the agreement will increase the cost by\n$34,000,000, for an amount not-to-exceed $128,100,000 in total over the term of this\nAgreement from Water Utility Operating Fund, Water Utility CIP Fund, Metro Sewer\nOperating Fund, and Metro Sewer CIP Fund.\nCouncil District(s) Affected: Citywide.\nProposed Actions:\nAdopt the following Ordinance which was introduced on 7/23/2024, Item 50, (Council\nvoted 9-0):\n(O-2025-8)\nOrdinance authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, to execute the Fifth Amendment to the\nAgreement with Stantec, Inc. extending the Agreement through January 2030 and\nincreasing the not-to-exceed amount by $34,000,000 for engineering technical services to\nsupport the Pure Water Program.\n6 votes required pursuant to Charter Section 99.\nCommittee Actions Taken:\nThis item was heard at the Environment Committee meeting on June 20, 2024.\nACTION: Motion by Chair LaCava, second by Committee member Elo-Rivera, to\nrecommend Council approval of staff’s proposed actions.\nVOTE: 3-0; LaCava-yea, von WIlpert-yea, Elo-Rivera-yea, Campbell-not present.\nPublic Utilities: Andrea Demich, (858) 614-5741\nCity Attorney Contact: Elizabeth Cason
