14. Resolution Ratifying Proclamation No. 24-XX Declaring the Existence of a Local\nEmergency On September 11, 2024, the City Manager issued proclamation for a local\nemergency based on the existence of conditions of disaster or extreme peril caused by the\n"Bridges" wildfire. Per La Verne Municipal Code Section 2.56.050 A.1., the City Council shall\ntake action to ratify the proclamation within seven days thereafter or the proclamation shall have\nno further force or effect.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt a Resolution entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF THE\nCITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE, CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING PROCLAMATION\nNO. 24-01 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY."
