5.C. CO-SPONSORSHIP OF ISRAELI-AMERICAN CIVIC EDUCATION\nINSTITUTE’S SCREENING AND PANEL DISCUSSION OF THE\nDOCUMENTARY J’ACCUSE! [L. MEISTER, Y. QUARKER, A.\nLOVANO, J. DEL TORO]:\nThe City Council will consider co-sponsoring a film screening and\npanel discussion of the documentary J’Accuse! with the Israeli-\nAmerican Civic Education Institute, to be held on April 18, 2023 in\nthe City Council Chambers.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the co-sponsorship of a film\nscreening and discussion of the documentary J'Accuse! with the\nIsraeli-American Civic Education Institute on April 18, 2023 in the\nCity Council Chambers; 2) Waive the Facility Use fee for the City\nCouncil Chambers for the event, parking fees at the 5-story parking\nlot for attendees, and any other ancillary City permits that may be\nrequired for the event (estimated $1,240 in waived fees); 3)\nAuthorize the use of the City name and logo on invitations,\nprograms, and other collateral materials; 4) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all appropriate\ncommunication tools to promote the event, such as the City's\nwebsite and social media tools; 5) Authorize the City Manager to\nexecute documents incident to the Co-sponsorship agreement; and\n6) Authorize the Director of Finance and Technology Services to\nallocate $700 from unallocated General Fund reserves to the\nSpecial Council Programs Account 100-1-01-00-531001 and\nincrease the Fiscal Year 2022-23 budget for Special Council\nPrograms by the same amount for costs associated with technical\nsupport (Waveguide).\nSTAFF REPORT\nITEM 5.C. - ATTACHMENT A
