10. NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH [Y. QUARKER, A.\nLOVANO, L. FOOKS]:\nSUBJECT: The West Hollywood City Council will consider recognizing\nOctober 2024 as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.\nRECOMMENDATION: 1) Proclaim October 2024 as National Breast Cancer\nAwareness Month; 2) Direct the City to light the City’s lanterns over Santa\nMonica Boulevard and City Hall in the color pink to recognize Breast Cancer\nAwareness Month from October 1-13, 2024; 3) Authorize the use of the City\nname and logo on digital collateral materials with partner agencies focused\non breast cancer awareness information and services; and 4) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all appropriate communications tools\nto raise awareness about National Breast Cancer Awareness Month,\nincluding sharing resources via social media platforms.
