2.V. RECOGNITION OF MARCH AS RED CROSS MONTH IN THE\nCITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD [J. ERICKSON, Y. QUARKER, A.\nLOVANO, J. DEL TORO]:\nThe City Council will consider recognizing the month of March as\nRed Cross Month to honor and celebrate the American Red Cross\nand its commitment to providing humanitarian relief for people\naround the world. The City’s recognition of March as Red Cross\nMonth will also include lighting City Hall in red and encouraging\ncommunity members to participate by volunteering, giving blood,\nlearning lifesaving skills, or other contributions.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct the City to light City Hall in red to\nrecognize the month of March as Red Cross Month on March 13\nthrough March 21, 2023; and 2) Direct the Communications\nDepartment to utilize all appropriate communication tools to\npromote Red Cross Month, including, but not limited to, the City's\nwebsite and social media channels.\nSTAFF REPORT
