BIENNIAL NOTICE REQUIRED BY THE POLITICAL REFORM ACT AND ADOPTION OF\nCONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE UPDATE\nCalifornia Government Code Section 87306.5 requires that local governments conduct a review of\ntheir Conflict of Interest Codes every two years. The City's Conflict of Interest Code determines\nwhich City officials and employee positions must file the Fair Political Practices Commission\nStatement of Economic Interest Form 700.\nRecommendation:\nIt is staff recommendation that the City Council:\n1. Adopt the attached Resolution amending the Conflict of Interest Code for the City of Bell\nGardens City Council, the Successor Agency to the Community Development Commission,\nand the Financing Authority Board; and\n2. Repeal Resolution No. 2022-98.
