8. AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR\nZONES 5 AND 11A STREET SLURRY SEAL AND\nREHABILITATION (EL TORO ROAD AND\nDIAMOND/CRESTVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD)\nRecommendations:\n(1) Award and authorize the City Manager to execute a\ncontract with Excel Paving Company, in the amount of\n$1,538,559 for the Zones 5 & 11A Street Slurry Seal and\nRehabilitation project;\n(2) Award and authorize the City Manager to issue a task\norder to Z&K Consultants Inc., in the amount of $84,928\nto provide construction management and inspection\nservices; and\n(3) Authorize the City Manager to approve project-related\nexpenses and construction change orders for unforeseen\ncircumstances in an amount not to exceed $160,000.\nAgenda Report
