DESIGNATION OF A VOTING DELEGATE TO THE\nLEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES’ ANNUAL\nCONFERENCE (OCTOBER 16-18, 2024)\nRecommendation: Designate a Councilmember as the voting\ndelegate from the City of Laguna Beach to the League of\nCalifornia Cities’ (aka Cal Cities) General Assembly meeting\non October 18, 2024.\nAgenda Report\nPUBLIC HEARING\nThe City Council shall conduct all Public Hearings in accordance with\nthe provisions of applicable Laguna Beach procedure and State law. APPEAL OF APPROVAL OF DESIGN REVIEW 23-\n0919 AND COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT 23-\n0921 FOR A NEW SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE\nWITH AN ATTACHED TWO-CAR GARAGE IN THE\nR-1 (RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY) ZONE AT 1536\nMORNINGSIDE DRIVE, DESIGN REVIEW IS\nREQUIRED FOR THE NEW SINGLE-FAMILY\nDWELLING, ELEVATOR HEIGHT, ELEVATED\nDECKS, GRADING, RETAINING WALLS, NEW\nVEHICULAR ACCESS, CONSTRUCTION WITHIN AN\nENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREA (SLOPE\nGREATER THAN 30%), AND LANDSCAPING\nRecommendation: Open the public hearing, and continue the\nAppeal of the Design Review Board's approval of Design\nReview 23-0919 and Coastal Development Permit 23-0921\nlocated at 1536 Morningside Drive to the October 8, 2024,\nCity Council meeting.
