A. Request by Councilmember Oscar de la Torre that the City Council endorse Measure A on the\nNovember 2024 ballot. Measure A is a countywide measure to repeal and replace the Measure H ¼\ncent sales tax that expires in 2027, replacing it with a ½ cent sales tax, which is expected to raise\napproximately $1,076,076,359.00 annually until voters decide to end it, with new audits and\noversight. The funds from Measure A will require accountability and results, create affordable\nhousing, support home ownership, provide rental assistance, increase mental health and addiction\ntreatment, reduce and prevent homelessness and provide services for children, families, veterans,\ndomestic violence survivors, seniors, and disabled people experiencing homelessness.\nNew Attachment Added. 9/24/2024\nStaff Report Printout\na.
