Annexation and Levying of Assessments for County Lighting Districts in\nthe Unincorporated Area of Hacienda Heights\nRecommendation: Approve the Engineer's Report for Petition No. 56-1221,\neither as filed or as modified, for the annexation of territory to County Lighting\nMaintenance District (CLMD) 1687 and County Lighting District Landscaping\nand Lighting Act-1 (CLD LLA-1), Unincorporated Zone, and the levying of\nassessments within the annexed territory for street lighting purposes, located in\nthe unincorporated area of Hacienda Heights (1); adopt a resolution of intention\nto Annex Territory to CLMD 1687 and CLD LLA-1, and order the levying of\nassessments within the annexed territory for Fiscal Year 2025-26 whose area\nand boundary is identified on the diagram included in the resolution; advertise\nand set December 10, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. for a public hearing regarding the\nproposed annexation and levying of annual assessments within the annexed\nterritory for street lighting purposes based on the approved Engineer's Report,\nwhich establishes assessments for the petition area based on land use type with\nan annual base assessment rate for a single-family residence of $5 for the\nUnincorporated Zone of CLD LLA-1; and find that the proposed project is\nexempt from California Environmental Quality Act.
